My macros don't seem to run at all, and the "Run" button is grayed out?

Your security setting for PowerPoint is probably set on High. You should set the security to Medium, which allows YOU to choose when to open a file that contains a macro. All of our macros are safe and can be trusted. Once you have adjusted the security, restart PowerPoint to make sure that the changes were applied, then open the file containing the Macro again. Also, if you are running "Presentation Macros", but cannot see any macros in the macro window, be certain you have Presentation Macros" selected in the "Macro In..." box at the bottom of the macro window. There is nothing documented about this, but it may be possible that some 3rd party Virus Protection software may be blocking Macros from being opened. This is unlikely, but at your own risk, you may try TEMPORARILY disabling virus protection and then try running the macro. When finished using the macro, re-enable your virus protection. However, this should not be necessary if your PowerPoint security is set to Medium.
