When I install the catalog software I receive an error message about a string not being long enough?This problem sometimes occurs when you install Cumulus 4 on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Cumulus 4 and 5 have both been successfully installed on a PC running Windows XP Pro, SP2. However, many problems have been reported with Cumulus 4.x on Windows XP and we cannot provide 3rd party support for this problem with Cumulus. You can try visiting the cumulus website at http://www.canto.com/ Some of our later discs are distributed with Cumulus 5, which is located in the Software Installs directory of the CD and will run properly on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. However, Cumulus 5 browser is not backwards compatible with version 4 catalog files, so cannot be used to view older catalogs. |
